Formatting Memory or MMC/SD Card

CAUTION:

Formatting deletes all pictures and videos. Removing a

card during formatting may damage the card. Once

formatting begins, it is completed even if you turn off the

camera or change the Mode dial position.

1 Turn the Mode dial to Setup .

2 Highlight Format , then press the Select

button.

3 Highlight an option:

FORMAT CARD—deletes everything on the

card and reformats the card for use in the

camera.

CANCEL FORMAT—exits without making

a change.

FORMAT MEMORY—deletes everything in

internal memory.

4 Press the Select button.

5 Highlight Continue Format, then press the

Select button.

When the formatting is complete, the

Setup menu is redisplayed.
